The Inland Master Chorale brings together more than eighty talented vocalists from throughout the Inland Empire. First formed in March 1980, the chorale has since provided exciting, quality musical experiences for audiences in the Inland Empire, California, Washington, England, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Under Maestro Duffer's direction, the chorale has won awards, critical acclaim, gained national and international recognition, and is presently considered one of the most accomplished choral groups in Southern California.

Roger W. Duffer, Founding Artistic Director

Roger W. Duffer, DirectorRoger Duffer graduated from North Central College, Illinois, with a degree in Music Education. He received a Master of Music in Conducting from the Univ. of Redlands. For 39 years he taught choral music at California secondary and college level schools. He now holds the title "Professor Emeritus" from Riverside Community College. For the past 32 years Mr. Duffer has been Director of Music Ministries at Redlands First United Methodist Church. His choral groups have won awards at local, national, and international competitions. He is in demand locally, nationally, internationally as a clinician, adjudicator, and guest conductor.

Melva Morrison,
Associate Director and Accompanist


Melva Morrison, Associate Director and AccompanistMelva Morrison, an accomplished pianist and musical director, graduated from Point Loma College with a double major in Piano Performance and Music Education. She holds a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from Cal State/Fullerton where she was a student director of the University Singers. Ms. Morrison is choral director at Jurupa Valley High School and choir director of the First Church of the Nazarene in Ontario. She has been Associate Director of the Chorale since 1981.
